I guess you all know that im a Brit who now lives in the lucky country Australia but I just love FiJi as much as I love Australia. Of course I still love the UK just as much and I will always call that place home, its just the weather does not agree with me.
When I was traveling I spent a couple of years in Fiji, I landed one of the cushiest jobs I have ever had. I worked on the entertainment deck of the blue lagoon cruise ship. It was my job to mingle and mix with all the passengers and make sure all was going well. I was lucky enough to see all of the islands that make up the Pacific nation of Fiji and the tropical climate was just the best.
It’s a real shame that since 1987 racial and political tensions have been an intermittent source of instability and international isolation for Fiji. Sort it out is what I say and get the tourists back to enjoy the sun sea and local drink which tasted of muddy water called Carva.
