This is what I've been saying and the below quote substantiates it

Google is in the business of making $ for Google, period. Not only are many of my sites completely knocked off the map, when I do my own searches it is exactly what is described. Bottom line is you can't trust Google for quality results, you can't.
The problem again is this, and I've said it before. "Google it!" is embedded into the cultures consciousness the same as "got milk" or "where's the beef". If IE and some other browsers didn't have Bing installed as the default engine, NO ONE would activity go to the bing website to use their SE.
At this point if you're a serious searcher and you need sound results for what specifically you're looking for, you have to go 4 - 5 pages deep.
