Dear friends,

I revcently put together an adult website

http://lustfulgoddess.com/

I need advice on getting traffic. I feature amateur couples and women and I have a lot of hairy content.

I need advice regarding everything especially traffic.
How and what forums should I post on?
How do I get affiliates?

If anyone of you is aware of someone who does good consulting in this area I don't mind paying for it, I just need someone who knows what they are talking about, someone who can help me make my website a big success within a reasonable amount of time. I would appreciate any advice or referrals.

Thank you!!!

Hi LustfulGoddess

welcome to the forum & I presume a female webmaster?

I'll try to give you a bit of direction but due to crap nights sleep you may need a universal translator in place

First hiring someone to do SEO is expensive if done correctly so my advice would be do the research yourself which hopefully we can direct you down - start by reading this thread Basics of Adult SEO as this will point out a LOT of errors you have on the site such as lack of titles,no descriptions and any real content (text)

I would recommend adding a articles section as then you can start working on keyword terms and write content / articles about your genre as this will help with traffic a lot - I would also place links to these articles on the index as this will help with crawling them

If you read the link I've placed here it will give you the grounding you need to start working on these articles - I would also then consider submitting articles to directories to start building up the link pop for the site

Personally I would drop the free blog and set your own one up as webmasters will be more interested in exchanging links with a paid blog rather than free

Cya around the forum

Tigs

Thank you so much, Tigger! I appreciate the link and will be glad to read it and use it. Thank you!

The free blog (http://mynakedtruth/tv/) is mine and it drives traffic to my site. Are you recommending starting a blog that is more about my paysite ( http://lustfulgoddess.com/)? I am not sure what you meant there.

Many thanks, again!

setting up your own blog about the site will drive more traffic and you'll find it a lot easier to get linking partners with your own paid blog - this blog will feed traffic to lustfulgoddess although I would set links up as nofollow otherwise you could get a penalty due to mass links from the blog

free blogs tend to be throw away things so other webmasters won't take you seriously - paid blogs are a different story !

By setting your own blog up, tweaking the site (as indicated) , placing articles within the site along with content sharing with other webmasters you could turn that site around - but you need to start at the ground level by understanding the basics of SEO - reading that article will give you all you need to start understanding about SEO and how best to structure articles on your site, this will then get you used to writing content for traffic and optimising pages

you set up your own space, then install WP onto it - once installed you can either use the basic wordpress theme or install one of the many free themes going around

Some hosting companies will even set the WP blog up for you as it really takes no effort along with installing the theme - BUT before you do this you still need to have a grounding on SEO as otherwise you'll be wasting your efforts on the blog

read the thread

As for nofollow links - these are links where the link value, in other words the bit that makes a link important to other sites has NO value and the SE's ignore any links where NoFollow has been used - this is something that some webmasters will do if placing a lot of links to there site, otherwise you could get a penalty from the SE for gaining too many links from one site

I do agree with Tigger I never exchange lnks with free sites / blogs as you can be sure the site will either never get updated or just vanish due to lack of interest - if a webmaster invest in some space at least you have more confidence knowing they will try to keep on top of it with content and building links

I am not trying to exchange links using my free blog. I have a paysite: www.LustfulGoddess.com
I would be looking to exchange links with it. By the way my free blog does get updated regularly and has much more traffic than my paysite. My free blog is a TV show that I air on Public Access channel in San Francisco and Berkeley. I do naked interviews and people love it:

www.MyNakedTruth.TV

If you guys are recommending that I start a blog for my paysite that would be separate from my TV show, I would love to see some examples. It would be great to see a link or two to good exisiting blogs.

Thank you for your input!

I really don't see the point of putting effort into a free blog - the idea of using a blog is to feed traffic onto a paysite and by developing your own paid blog you will not only build natural rankings but have a linking tool - which for SEO benefit is a necessity- setting up a blog is not only cheap but something that can be done quickly and easy

Whilst you say you will use LG.com for links I didn't see any place where people can exchange links and this also returns back to the lack of content within the site to exchange links with as putting up a links section within a site will not interest any serious webmaster as they will be looking for content exchanges rather than a link buried on a links page

Also you have to consider non recp links carry far more weight than reciprocated ones, hence the reasons webmasters will develop separate sites - but if that has no interest far enough

As for blogs just use any SE and you will soon find loads of blogs as more often than not especially on G they will always rank high

odd that I don't see the point in not using a blog for non recps - but its your business, good luck
