As the Australian Tax Office (ATO) prepares to make stimulus payments to Australians as part of the $42 billion dollar economic stimulus package, a new wave of email scams are attempting to exploit unsuspecting recipients.

The scammers are sending emails disguised as official communication from the ATO and ask for personal details such as date of birth or banking details.

Its said that 1 in 20 Australians will fall victim to some form of scam this year and netting...

WTF are they taking the piss outta me?

Starting 29 April, we will be trialling a content filtering system.

The purpose of the trial is to:

1. Allow our engineers and system administrators to understand the technology
2. Allow our customers to determine first hand the impact of one of the commercial products that could be used for the proposed Australian Labor Party internet filter
3. Acquire knowledge of the issues relating to the implementation...
